As Chairman, Mr. Warner provides corporate leadership to the organization for company expansion, strategic alliance relationship development, contractual negotiations, and financial controls.
Mr. Warner has specialized in comprehensive financial consulting for affluent individuals, public and privately held companies since 1977, with a specific focus on creative estate tax planning, executive benefit and compensation design.
Mr. Warner has been frequently quoted in national print and has spoken locally on radio and television. He also speaks nationally on various aspects of financial planning, and is listed in the Who's Who Registry of Global Business Leaders, Who's Who in Finance and Industry, Who's Who in the East, and International Who's Who of Professionals.
He has served as President and member of the Board of Directors for both the Baltimore Association for Financial Planning and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. Additionally, he served as the Legislative Affairs Chairman for The Baltimore Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Nationally, he served as Chairman of the Executive Field Advisory Board for two major insurance companies and as a Board Member of the Practitioners Council for the International Association of Financial Planners.
Among his memberships, Mr. Warner lists the Financial Planning Association, The National Association of Life Underwriters, The Association for Advanced Life Underwriters, and Society of Financial Service Professionals. He is also a member of the Top Of The Table and the International Twenty-five Million Dollar Forum.
Mr. Warner serves as Chairman of The Carson Scholars Fund and formerly served as Chairman of AmericasBANK.
Mr. Warner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Western Maryland College, and has earned professional designations as an Accredited Estate Planner, Chartered Life Underwriter®, Chartered Financial Consultant®, and Certified Financial Planner®. He is a licensed insurance advisor with the State of Maryland and is a licensed insurance producer in many other states nationwide. He is also a registered representative with a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm.
Rick Spivey has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, and specializes in wealth accumulation, wealth protection, and wealth transfer strategies. Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Mr. Spivey was a Managing Director at United Bank.
Mr. Spivey has been involved with sophisticated life insurance transactions throughout his career, and is considered an expert in that area, providing services to business owners, corporate executives, professional athletes, banks, and publicly-traded companies. In addition, he has served on the Board of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, and holds the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant® and Chartered Life Underwriter® from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
As Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Marcus is responsible for high-level management of developing and implementing the overall strategic plan for the company. She supervises the cross-departmental communication and service efforts to ensure the highest possible standard of excellence for TWC clients. She also focuses on cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships with Strategic Partners of TWC and works directly with our partners to drive business development, creating alignment and execution on shared goals.
Ms. Marcus has over 25 years of experience in Voluntary Benefits sales and account management. In recent years she has solely focused on Strategic Partnerships and Voluntary Benefits as well as high-level operational project management. Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Marcus was Regional Manager for The Abacus Group and held several sales and management positions with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and American Fidelity Assurance Company. Her accomplishments as an Account Manager are extensive and she has received numerous awards for sales production and leadership.
Ms. Marcus attended Oklahoma State University and University of Central Oklahoma, and she holds life and health insurance licenses.
Apart from Ms. Marcus’s business and professional activities, she dedicates her time as a volunteer for Team in Training, a fitness training program designed to help participants complete marathons, half marathons, and triathlons all to support fundraising efforts for children suffering from Leukemia and Lymphoma.
As Chief Investment Officer for The Warner Companies, Mr. Killinger oversees the investment and planning functions for the Private Client Division and Deferred Compensation planning for the Executive Benefits Division. This includes management of the investment research team and development of strategies and products that are recommended to the firm’s clients. He also provides strategic direction, evaluates new growth opportunities and assesses new business ventures for the firm.
He serves as Chief Compliance Officer for the firm’s Registered Investment Advisor entity and OSJ Branch Manager for broker/dealer operations. Prior to joining The Warner Companies in 1994, Mr. Killinger was with T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mr. Killinger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a Certificate in Finance from University of Maryland, where he graduated cum laude, and an MBA and M.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation in 1998 and is a member of the Baltimore CFA Society (formerly the Baltimore Security Analysts Society) and CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management & Research). He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and earned his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation in 2011. He is a registered representative with a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) firm holding the Series 6, 7, 24, and 66 designations. Additionally he is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Tax returns for clients are prepared through an independent entity, TaxServe, LLC.
Mr. Killinger serves as an advisor to the Finance Committee of the Carson Scholars Fund. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Barnett-Searing National Cancer Foundation, where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee .He is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Investment Committee for Trinity School of Maryland and is also a member of the Howard County Community Advisory Board for the Y of Central Maryland.
As Executive Vice President, Ms. Salcman is responsible for developing collaborative relationships with other professionals in the wealth strategies arena, as well as recruiting additional personnel for the company. She brings a highly unique perspective to counseling affluent clients and successful companies since she was first introduced to The Warner Companies from the perspective of a client.
Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Ms. Salcman served as Executive Vice President of one of the largest Health Systems on the East Coast, where she was a proven business leader with various types of health care organizations. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, development and marketing.
Her accomplishments as an executive in the health care field are broad. She implemented and managed executive compensation and benefit plans, and has been honored by the Academy of Health Care Marketing and received awards for several marketing campaigns.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts, Ms. Salcman received her MBA/MPH from Columbia University, New York, New York. She is a Registered Representative with a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm, and holds health and life insurance licenses.
She is currently Chairman of The Board Development Committee of the Fund for Educational Excellence, having served as Chair of that Board in the past; as well as a Board Member of the United Cerebral Palsy Board, member of their Finance and Audit Committee, and their Investment Committee; and a member of the board of Friends of Modern Art at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
As Chief Operations Officer, Ms. Seda provides administrative support, assisting the Chairman in facilitating and managing calendar priorities, as well as coordinating travel and meeting arrangements, and making sure that all client needs are met in a timely and efficient fashion. In addition to handling responsibilities as Executive Administrative support for the CEO, Ms. Seda manages the corporate resources team, daily operations of the firm, handles all aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budget preparation, forecasting, month-end close, and completion of financial statements. She works closely with all team members to insure accuracy.
Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Seda worked as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of a large national grocery chain, assisting with personal document management, travel, calendar organization and preparation of high level meetings.
Ms. Seda has a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
As Senior Vice President with over 30 years of consulting experience, Mr. Ward leads our Executive Benefits Division. He is responsible for new business development, client management and plan design for corporations. Mr. Ward has significant experience with the design and implementation of executive benefit programs for tax-exempt organizations. In addition to leading the Executive Benefits Division for The Warner Companies, Mr. Ward also oversees advanced case design for our private client insurance division.
Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Mr. Ward was a Vice President in the Executive and Professional Benefits Division at USI Consulting Group focusing on advanced case design and new business development for executive benefit programs associated with tax-exempt organizations. He also has more than ten years’ experience with a variety of firms including Ernst & Young LLP where he worked as a senior manager and consulted with a variety of clients on their qualified and non-qualified retirement programs.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He holds Series 6, Series 63, Series 65 and insurance licenses for life, accident and sickness and variable products. He is also a retired Enrolled Actuary.
