Professional Staff

As Director of Marketing, Mr. Aziz is instrumental in supporting the large case Voluntary Benefit market and is working to launch our under 1,000 lives Voluntary Benefit case market with marketing sales, social network support, benefit communications, case strategy and implementation.

Prior to joining TWC, Mr. Aziz was a senior Executive Team Leader, creating and delivering a multimedia platform for a global Transmedia project. Mr. Aziz was heavily involved in the adaptation of the intellectual property to meet varying market demands across a variety of global markets. Mr. Aziz helped conceptualize the online platform, formulated a comprehensive social media and marketing strategy for the intellectual property, and was responsible for all domain name acquisitions.

Mr. Aziz assessed possible incoming projects for viability, supervised staff on multiple projects, and managed marketing and social media. He also was one of the top Benefit Counselors for The Warner Companies before coming onboard full-time.

Mr. Aziz is a graduate of University of Vermont with a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology. He holds life and health insurance licenses in several states, including California, District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia.

As Director of Voluntary Benefits, Mr. Bindel oversees the implementation and administration of voluntary benefit plans for corporations. He is responsible for coordinating the proposal process, and managing the enrollment strategy and logistics for voluntary benefit enrollments. He also assists with the recruitment and training of the enrollment team.

Mr. Bindel has more than 15 years experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining TWC, he spent eight years with Impact Enrollment Solutions serving as Director of Enrollments. Mr. Bindel has worked with several insurance carriers in a management and client service capacity, and also has nine years experience in the banking industry.

Mr. Bindel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary’s College. He holds a life and health Insurance license in the state of Maryland.

As Director of Client Service, Mr. Boehm is responsible for managing the call center staff for both day-to-day customer service issues and enrollments. Mr. Boehm works with our policy holders, clients and vendors to ensure complete satisfaction among policy holders.

Prior to joining TWC, Mr. Boehm was Director of Underwriting for an international life settlement company, and has more than ten years’ experience in the insurance industry. He also has four years’ experience as an addictions counselor and served in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Boehm earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Widener University. He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a life and health insurance license in the state of Maryland.

As Business Intelligence Developer, Ms. Boesch is responsible for designing and building new enterprise data warehouse(s) and playing a key role in leading the company’s business intelligence initiative.

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Boesch was a part of the IT team for the Harford County Government for almost 10 years. She worked as a Computer Systems Engineer, a Programmer Analyst and Senior Programmer during her time there. She focused on data analytics, developed and streamlined reports, and worked internally with multiple departments to translate business requirements into functional implementations. Jennifer utilized her knowledge of Microsoft Office to develop a training program to help other users within the company. 

Ms. Boesch received her A.A. in Computer Information Systems from Harford Community College.

As Associate Director of Client Services, Ms. Boser is responsible for managing the implementation and ongoing administration of executive benefit plans. She works extensively with our clients and participants to provide administrative and support services.

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Boser was an Account Executive with Integrated Health Strategies, formerly Clark Consulting. She has over 20 years of insurance and benefit plan administration experience, as well as seven years office management experience.

Ms. Boser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

As Administrative Assistant, Ms. Churby works with the Communications Department preparing marketing packets, maintaining inventory of communication materials, and providing marketing research and support. Ms. Churby also assists the Office of the Chairman, as well as several other departments including the Call Center of the Voluntary Benefits Department.

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Churby spent 13 years with a national executive benefit consulting firm as an Executive Assistant.

As Receptionist, Ms. Costa is responsible for greeting and directing all visitors, handling incoming calls, and special administrative projects including written correspondence and proposal preparation.

Ms. Costa earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business, and a minor in Psychology, from Eastern University. Prior to TWC, Ms. Costa was an Independent Sales Consultant for nine years and also worked as an Office Manager. She is a key part in the daily administration of the office.

As Associate Director, Multi-Life Service, Ms. Cox is responsible for managing the implementation and administration of executive benefit plans. Services include new business enrollment, billing, policy delivery, renewals, and ongoing client support and administration.

Ms. Cox obtained her Associate of Arts degree in Business Law from Villa Julie College in 1980 and has worked in the insurance industry since 1984.

As Senior Director - Private Client, Ms. Crisera is responsible for the financial analysis and planning for our private clients, maintaining our portfolio account management system and preparing the quarterly performance statements. She also oversees service, operations, and implementation of recommendations within the Private Client area. This includes new business as well as service of the firm’s existing clientele.

Ms. Crisera began her career in the financial services and investment industry in 2004 with a global private equity investment firm. Prior to joining TWC, she was a Consultant for an investment industry consulting firm. She also has experience as an Employee Benefits Administrator working for the largest Professional Employer Organization in the New England area.

She graduated summa cum laude from Loyola College earning a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She also was the first Towson University student to be granted permission to graduate with two degrees concurrently; she graduated summa cum laude earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance.

She earned her Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation in 2015, is a registered representative with a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm holding the Series 7 license, and has a Maryland life and health insurance license.

As Director of Underwriting and Service, Ms. D’Addezio is responsible for managing the underwriting team by tracking, monitoring and processing the insurance underwriting process for individual clients. Gemma also assists with insurance service requests.

Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Ms. D’Addezio worked as a Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury Paralegal for a local law firm.

As Financial Consultant, Mr. Daniels is responsible for health and welfare benefit plan consulting, including; strategic planning, vendor management, marketing, plan implementation, renewals, as well as the ongoing administration for existing clients.

Mr. Daniels has 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining The Warner Companies, he was Director of Underwriting & Analytics for USI, responsible for recruitment and growth of the Underwriting unit and delivery and explanation of client analytical and financial reports with emphasis on customized solutions.

Mr. Daniels graduated from Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a Minor in Business.

As New Business Coordinator, Ms. Dollinger is responsible for all aspects of the underwriting process, including obtaining application information, coordinating medical information from physicians and underwriters, and obtaining final underwriting offers.

She has been in the insurance industry since 1971, working for an extended period of time with one the largest Life Underwriters in the country. She joined TWC in 1997.

As Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Elphick manages The Warner Companies Individual Portfolio Investment Practice, offering customized portfolios to high net worth individuals and institutions.

Prior to joining TWC, Derek Elphick was a Portfolio Manager for United Bankshares, where he served as head of asset allocation for United Wealth Management’s Investment Committee. There he oversaw portfolios for pension funds, foundations and endowments, and high net worth families. Before that, he served as Senior Business Development Manager for Endo Health Solutions, specializing in pipeline and portfolio planning in the healthcare sector.

Mr. Elphick received a Bachelor’s Degree in finance from the University of Scranton. He is a CFA® charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Washington, DC.  He also is a registered representative with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) holding the Series 7 and 63.

As Vice President of Corporate Communications, Ms. Feeley Martin is responsible for overseeing the development of all internal and external communications material, and works with each department to prepare communication timelines and collateral for clients. She is the lead graphic designer responsible for the creation and design of all communication pieces for The Warner Companies as well as for clients including, but not limited to; benefit guides, marketing kits, various mailers, posters, flyers, enrollment packets, as well as other customized collateral. Bridget is also responsible for the design and maintenance of the The Warner Companies website.

Prior to joining TWC, Bridget was an Event and Marketing Manager for a local media sales company, and worked in Account Management for several national insurance carriers. Her experience includes development and implementation of marketing campaigns and budgets, event and sponsorship management, graphic design, and preparation and distribution of communication materials.

Bridget attended York College of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Fine Art and Graphic Design, and a minor in Art History.

As Coordinator, Ms. Gerhart is responsible for insurance service and assistance on daily tasks and special projects for the Investment and Planning Department, including client account reconciliations and data management, research and data gathering, maintenance of compliance logs, preparation of materials for client meetings and quarterly statements, and coordination of the annual tax return process.

Ms. Gerhart is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in advertising, communications, sports and exercise psychology.

Prior to joining TWC, Erica worked for the British Embassy in Washington, DC as an Examiner and Correspondence Officer.

As Director of Account Management, Ms. Gordon oversees the implementation and ongoing strategic relationship management of new and existing clients. She is also responsible for developing and managing re-enrollment strategies.

Ms. Gordon has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Gordon was a National Account Manager for Unum where she spent 12 years building strong relationships with larger clients both locally and nationally. She also worked for Prudential and Lincoln National managing Life, Medical and Dental coverage for large employer groups.

Ms. Gordon attended Central Texas College and holds life and health insurance licenses in Maryland and Virginia. She is also a member of the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network (WEB).

As Project Manager, Mr. Gray is responsible for reconciliations, commissions tracking, automating processes and developing internal databases.

Prior to joining TWC, Mr. Gray was the Operations and Project Manager for Hibernia Networks in Dublin for eight (8) years. While there he simultaneously coordinated projects across multiple departments and time zones. He managed over 25 support engineers spanning numerous offices and coordinated and managed network resources over a Global Network. He has experience in creating and presenting operational and budgetary reports for executive management teams.

Mr. Gray received his Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Honours) from Institute of Technology Tallaght in Ireland.

 

As Financial Analyst, Mr. Hawkins is responsible for providing in-depth financial analysis support to each department, as well as providing data and systems support as it relates to managing financial reporting.

Mr. Hawkins is a graduate of Stevenson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Information Systems. Mr. Hawkins held several financial positions in the Student Government Association, including Chairman of Finance and Senator of Finance.

 

As Director of Employee Benefit Operations, Ms. Hinchy leads the Employee Benefits team of Consultants to ensure successful client relationships. She oversees the general process management for a first class experience for our clients. Ms. Hinchy is also responsible for the planning and implementation of prospective client accounts, as well as the ongoing administration and benefit consultation for existing client accounts.

Ms. Hinchy has over 27 years of financial, marketing and client services experience. Prior to joining TWC, she worked as an Underwriting & Client Services Director with HMS Insurance Associates, Inc.

Ms. Hinchy attended Harford Community College focusing on Accounting and Business Administration. She completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers and holds a life and health insurance license in the state of Maryland.

 

As a Call Center Service Representative, Ms. Kissel is responsible for assisting clients with service needs, addressing all questions and providing an accurate and efficient response.

Ms. Kissel graduated from McDaniel College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with minors in Writing and Sociology. She was a Resident Advisor, helping other students resolve differences, and tutored in the Writing Center where she assisted students to improve their writing skills. Ms. Kissels holds a life and health insurance license in the state of Maryland.

As Coordinator – Private Client, Ms. Kissel is responsible for service, operations, and implementation of recommendations within the Private Client area. This includes new business as well as service of the firm's existing clientele.

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Kissel worked for a local wealth management firm for 18 years as a back office administrator. She was responsible for the completion and submission of new accounts and for providing service to brokers, custodians, and clients. Ms. Kissel also has several years of experience as a law firm administrative assistant and in retail management.

Ms. Kissel is a graduate of Millersville State College with a Bachelor’s degree in History. She maintains life and health insurance licenses in the state of Maryland and is a registered representative with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) holding the Series 6.

As Vice President, Information Systems, Ms. Kosiorek designs, analyses and evaluates programming and technology solutions for our business systems. She has developed a proprietary database to house detailed information on plan participants, policies, status, and eligibility for various plans providing TWC a process to quickly and easily advise clients and carriers. She acts as the liaison to ensure data accuracy and integrity between clients and vendors, and has enhanced the TWC reporting capabilities by creating concise reports for internal and external distribution. She also develops strategies for data management and the overall implementation of the databases.

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Kosiorek was the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for Johns Hopkins Healthcare where she oversaw the EHP line of business. She developed and maintained budgets for both the EHP line of business and the Managed Care Division of Johns Hopkins Healthcare. She also conceived, designed and implemented a system to audit claims and setup.

Ms. Kosiorek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Loyola College and has over 20 years of accounting and data management experience.

As New Business Coordinator, Ms. Kregelstein is responsible for all aspects of the underwriting process, including obtaining application information, coordinating medical information from physicians and underwriters, and obtaining final underwriting offers.

Ms. Kregelstein has worked in the insurance industry since 1980, starting with our company in 1982, as an Administrative Assistant.

As Accounting Specialist, Ms. Lating is responsible for financial transactions received from various vendors on a monthly basis, entering information about new accounts, and reconciling existing accounts. She also provides administrative support to several departments and is a key part of the daily administration of the office.

Ms. Lating has over 20 years of Administrative and Accounts Payable experience and received certification as an Accredited Payables Manager.

As Associate Director – Private Client, Ms. Montgomery is responsible for service, operations, and implementation of recommendations within the Private Client area. This includes new business as well as service of the firm's existing clientele.  

Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Ms. Montgomery served as Director of Client Services for a local wealth management firm where she was responsible for overseeing the completion and submission of new accounts and for providing service to brokers, custodians, and clients.

Ms. Montgomery graduated from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. She is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified ProfessionalTM (FPQPTM), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and holds Maryland state life and health licenses.

 

As Director of Enrollment for the Voluntary Benefits Division, Ms. Nicholson is responsible for the coordination and management of the on-site enrollment process with our client companies. Whether a new implementation or renewal, Ms. Nicholson works with our clients to achieve the most successful voluntary benefit and core benefit enrollment. Ms. Nicholson manages the full enrollment and provides guidance to our Benefit Counselors, making sure employees and Benefit Counselors have a positive experience.

Ms. Nicholson has worked with TWC for many years as a Benefit Counselor and Team Lead, leading the way on our largest Voluntary Benefit enrollment projects. She is regularly requested by our clients to manage their enrollments each year.

Ms. Nicholson brings over 15 years of sales and management experience, including 15 years life and health insurance sales; four years mortgage sales, and more than ten years in management. Ms. Nicholson currently holds active life and health insurance licenses in Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. She also received a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certification from The Wharton School, earning the CEBS, Compensation Management Specialist (CMS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designations.

As Administrative Assistant, Ms. Nuth assists the Office of the Chairman, as well as several other departments including the front desk, responsible for handling incoming calls and special administrative projects, written correspondence and proposal preparation.

Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Ms. Nuth retired from Crawford Advisors after 13 years as a Senior Receptionist.

As Director of Planning, Mr. Oliver is responsible for working with both the Planning and Investment Departments on all aspects of the planning process, including insurance case design planning and financial analysis. While his primary focus is individual insurance case design, he also assists in design planning of executive benefit insurance cases.

Prior to joining TWC, Mr. Oliver worked in management within the employee service industry and as a Financial Analyst with a national engineering company. He has over 15 years of experience.

Mr. Oliver holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with Certificates in Finance and Technical Writing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He has obtained the Maryland state life and health licenses and is a registered representative with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) holding the Series 6.

As Senior Consultant, Ms. O’Neill is responsible for the planning and implementation of prospective client accounts, as well as the ongoing administration and benefit consultation for existing client accounts. This process includes gathering benefit plan information for the in force program, reviewing the existing benefit programs, generation of the initial RFP, rate negotiation and plan design analysis with the appropriate vendors, and consolidation of RFP responses into a final presentation. Ms. O’Neill works closely with the vendor and the client to ensure a smooth implementation of the benefit program chosen by the client.

She has extensive experience with complex benefit programs, including self-insured and ASO funding arrangements. In addition to the marketing of benefit programs, Ms. O’Neill is also responsible for administration of employee benefit programs, including seeing the enrollment, billing, compliance, online technology and customer service functions.

Ms. O’Neill has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining TWC, she held consulting and account management positions with Crawford Advisors/Wachovia Insurance Services and Integrated Health Services.

Ms. O’Neill graduated with honors from the University of Delaware with dual degrees; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore, also graduating with honors. She holds a Maryland state life and health license and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Ms. O’Neill is an active volunteer with Girl Scouts, Junior Achievement and her local school system. She also supports a number of children’s charities as well as a golden retriever rescue group.

As Director of Planning – Private Client, Mr. Penzi is responsible for working with both the Planning and Investment Departments on all aspects of the planning process, including insurance case design and financial analysis, researching new investment opportunities and analyzing market trends. In addition to his planning role with The Warner Companies, he assists in a marketing capacity with strategic partners.

Mr. Penzi has over 10 years of experience. Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Mr. Penzi was a Senior Vice President at Heritage Strategies, where he specialized in sophisticated estate, business, charitable and life insurance planning for affluent families.   

Mr. Penzi graduated from Fairfield University, Dolan School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a concentration in management. Mr. Penzi holds various licenses including Life, Accident & Health Insurance, Variable Life Insurance & Annuities, Property & Casualty Insurance, General Securities Representative (FINRA Series 7) and Uniform Securities Agent State Law (FINRA Series 63).  Mr. Penzi is currently pursuing his Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) designation.

 

As Systems Administrator, Mr. Purdum installs, configures, and maintains the organization’s IT systems, corporate network and other services. He installs new hardware and software and acts as part of the help desk to resolve hardware and software related problems for end users. He also manages system backup and data recovery, as well as system security.

In addition, Mr. Purdum evaluates new hardware, software and services, plans IT projects and related budgeting. He also works with third party vendors to determine and implement improvements and solutions as needed.

Mr. Purdum obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Towson University in 2001. He also holds a Maryland state life and health Insurance license.

As Chief of Staff, Ms. Seda provides administrative support, assisting the Chairman in facilitating and managing calendar priorities, as well as coordinating travel and meeting arrangements, and making sure that all client needs are met in a timely and efficient fashion. In addition to handling responsibilities as Executive Administrative support for the CEO, Ms. Seda manages the front desk team and projects assigned by The Office of the Chairman .

Prior to joining TWC, Ms. Seda worked as an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of a large national grocery chain, assisting with personal document management, travel, calendar organization and preparation of high level meetings.

Ms. Seda attended Pennsylvania State University concentrating on a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Society.

As Controller, Ms. Storck is responsible for handling all aspects of accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll, budget preparation, forecasting, month-end close, and completion of financial statements. She works closely with all team members to insure accuracy.

Ms. Storck previously worked for the Hospice in Baltimore as the Manager of Patient Accounts where she was very successful in managing the billing and accounts receivable functions. In addition to her experience at the Hospice, she spent more than 20 years working in various accounting roles for EA Engineering, Science and Technology, Inc. in Hunt Valley.

As New Business Manager for Voluntary Benefits, Mr. Travers works to ensure customer satisfaction and success of enrollments through the training of Benefit Counselors, coordinating scheduling, implementation planning, and enrollment processing and post enrollment follow up. Other duties include vetting voluntary benefit products and carriers, completing detailed product comparisons, and executive summaries.

Prior to joining TWC, Mr. Travers worked on the Benefits Administration team for Xerox/Towers Watson. Mr. Travers has extensive experience training Benefit Counselors, both in the United States and abroad, to handle enrollment and customer service support, running benefit call centers, and has expertise with Knowledge Management software.

Mr. Travers holds a life and health insurance license in the states of Maryland, Washington DC, New Jersey, New York, South Carolina, and Virginia. Mr. Travers also holds a Voluntary Benefits Specialist (VBS) designation. In addition to his business and professional activities, Mr. Travers volunteers for various local charities.

As Senior Director – Private Client, Mr. Truss is involved in the managing and trading of individual portfolios, investment recommendations, and preparing quarterly performance statements. He is also responsible for researching new investment opportunities, analyzing market trends, as well as client communications in the Planning and Investments Departments.

Mr. Truss began his career in the financial services industry in 1998 with Legg Mason Wood Walker. In addition to Legg Mason, he held positions with ICMA Retirement Corporation and Citigroup Institutional Consulting. Prior to joining TWC, he was a senior analyst with a local institutional and high net worth consulting group.

Mr. Truss obtained a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Loyola College, and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Towson University. He is a registered representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member firm holding Series 7, 63, and 66 licenses and holds a Maryland state life license.

As an Employee Benefit Consultant, Ms. Unitas is responsible for benefit plan consulting, including renewals, marketing, plan implementation, ongoing administration and benefit consultation.

Ms. Unitas has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and human resources. Prior to joining The Warner Companies, Jan spent the last eight (8) years at AP Benefit Advisors, LLC (formerly Crawford Advisors, LLC) as a Senior Account Manager. 

Ms. Unitas graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She has numerous designations and holds a Life and Health Insurance license in the state of Maryland.

As Marketing Assistant, Ms. Wright provides direct administrative support for TWC Corporate Marketing initiatives with particular focus on Strategic Alliance Development programs. She also manages the licensing and appointments for all licensed individuals at TWC, as well as helps facilitate the licensing process for our strategic partners.

Ms. Wright holds a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Kaplan College as well as an Associates degree and Legal Assistance Certification.

Ms. Wright has more than 15 years' experience as a Legal and Government Compliance Paralegal working for firms such as Aon. Her experience includes maintaining, renewing and coordinating state insurance licensing for agents, brokers and advisors, and managing the associated renewal requirements. She has also been responsible for the review and preparation of government filings for employee benefit plans and prepared Form 5500 filings for employee pension, health and welfare plans. In her spare time, Ms. Wright is a Court Appointed Special Advocate, working with abused and neglected children as their advocate in the court system.
